“I had focused on art throughout high school, but growing up, I was very interested in nature, living things, processes - I also really enjoy ecology,” said Andwele. “So when I saw that biology was part of the 3+1 program, I thought, ‘Why not?’ 3+1 is the best way to earn a college education.”
“It paid dividends for me,” he said. “I wouldn’t be where I am today, at the University of Pennsylvania Law School without RCBC. I tell everybody to go to community college.”
“The academic insight I received at RCBC also carried into my family life. With a better understanding and perspective on education, my children have also been thriving.”
“I was just trying to do what I have to do to get an education,” Wyllis said. “There have been so many opportunities that have come along and I am so happy that hard work pays off.”
You may not associate linear algebra with romance, but for RCBC students James Keenan and Ilona Litvinas it sparked something that has now come full circle.
Dr. Benjamin is both a professor of mathematics and a magician. He has combined his two loves to create a dynamic presentation called Mathemagics, suitable for all audiences, where he demonstrates and explains his secrets for performing rapid mental calculations faster than a calculator.
“It was almost like I had to meet the highest standards because I had someone connected to me, had hope in me and expected me to exceed my expectations."
“The best thing about working at RCBC is that all the programs all tie back into our mission,” McCollum said. “I enjoy working with and meeting people who value education so highly. That’s what makes RCBC.”
