RCBC Fashion Club students and the founders of Atlantic City Fashion Week hosted an incredible Fashion Noir show, part of the college's Black History Month programming, on Wednesday, Feb. 13 in the Student Success Center.
“RCBC let me fulfill my dream of a college career, helped me find my passions and strengthened my voice as a first generation college graduate. Whenever I doubted how much further I could go, RCBC paved the way,” she said.
“I had focused on art throughout high school, but growing up, I was very interested in nature, living things, processes - I also really enjoy ecology,” said Andwele. “So when I saw that biology was part of the 3+1 program, I thought, ‘Why not?’ 3+1 is the best way to earn a college education.”
“It paid dividends for me,” he said. “I wouldn’t be where I am today, at the University of Pennsylvania Law School without RCBC. I tell everybody to go to community college.”
“The academic insight I received at RCBC also carried into my family life. With a better understanding and perspective on education, my children have also been thriving.”
“I was just trying to do what I have to do to get an education,” Wyllis said. “There have been so many opportunities that have come along and I am so happy that hard work pays off.”
“I was happy that during such a terrifying time for him, I could offer some comfort.”
