“My time at RCBC was great! It's hard to pick specific memories that stand out, but one thing I remember is the huge diversity of friends I made while I was there. I had my normal ‘clique’ that I studied with every day, but there were also many times when I was studying alone and a group of students playing video games in the break area would invite me over to play,” Redlich recalled. “The friendly atmosphere and inclusiveness is definitely what I remember most.”
“This recognizes the talent of Rowan College at Burlington County’s marketing staff and, more importantly, how we champion students above all else,” Rowan College at Burlington County President Dr. Michael A. Cioce said. “Nearly all of these awards feature students or their work, including one for a t-shirt that was designed by a student and produced and sold commercially in our bookstore."
“We try to provide as much information as possible because the underlying issue with many first-gen students is that they lack the knowledge or feel behind because they don’t have that circle of family and friends familiar with the college admissions process. In essence, we become their first point of contact and information,” RCBC’s Assistant Director of Outreach and Admissions Bareeq Barqawi said. “We also try to create a rapport with them. I’ve connected with many first-gen students who don’t know what’s next and just need that extra guidance to get them to the finish line.”
“Rowan College at Burlington County thanks the military for their service and welcomes the opportunity to serve their educational needs,” RCBC President Dr. Michael A. Cioce said. “Whether you’re looking for quick entry into the workforce or a college degree, we have a path for you.”

RCBC’s “Global Studies Lecture Series” aims to bring world-renowned scholars and researchers to the college to engage and discuss with students and the public crucial and current issues in global security, conflict, health and environment. This initiative is supported by a recent U.S. Department of Education grant that will enable RCBC to establish a Global Studies degree designation, including the addition of a Global Studies course and high-demand language courses, such as Arabic and Chinese.
“I’ve learned to take every opportunity that comes at you. Even though we went fully remote in March, we were ready for an interview, knew how to present ourselves and were equipped with resume-building skills. I would say to do it because it’s a great resource to have,” Kennedy Vazquez, who now studies film at Rider University, said.
