In this 8-week course, students will learn to sketch the female fashion figure through a series of step-by-step live, virtual demonstrations.
High school students will advance through proportions and begin garment details that include drape and rendering techniques for portfolio-quality fashion illustrations. Through virtual online learning, students will have a close-up detailing of all steps by demonstrations. From pencil studies, students will advance to drawing in a variety of media including color pencils and watercolor and pastels.
By the end of this course students will:
- Learn to sketch the 9-head elongated female fashion figure through a series of exercises
- Illustrate a small design collection of 6 figures
- Render accurately fabric and prints
- 1 pad 11x 14 or 14 x 17” ( not smaller) Canson mixed Media 98 lb
- Watercolor pencil set ( watercolor pencils are recommended) Can be any brand no less than 12
- Drawing pencils (any kind with erasers and pencil sharpener
- Watercolor set of 24 or more
- 3 assorted paint brushes (1 thin and 2 medium) recommended brushes that hold water
- *Recommended ( this book will help guide the students for additional practice and support (recommended to students applying to college for fashion design)
