Mitchell Biderberg, like many other Cherry Hill East graduates chose to go to a four-year college after high school. Biderberg chose Virginia Tech for their engineering program. After his first semester he decided engineering was not the right path for him and decided to come back home.

“I figured, why spend all that money at Virginia Tech when I don’t know what I want to do,” Biderberg said. “I spoke to some friends who go to RCBC and that felt like a good choice for me while I figure out what I want to do.”

Biderberg, of Cherry Hill, began at RCBC this spring as a graphic design major, hoping to get his masters in Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Maryland after he graduates from RCBC.

“The teachers here are very helpful and informative, plus you can’t beat the price,” Biderberg said. “At Virginia Tech, you would have hundreds of people in your class. I enjoy the smaller classes and getting to know my professors, some who even teach at larger universities as well.”

Biderberg and some friends from Virginia Tech and Purdue began a startup company in January 2019. They are working on a website that will assist students from China acclimate to life in the United States and assist with the miscommunications that often happen. They presented their project at a business competition at Virginia Tech and made it to the semifinals. They plan to launch their website this summer.
