What has it been like working on an empty college campus for the past four months? And, how is Rowan College at Burlington County preparing for a safe reopening in the fall? Please join us at our Facebook Town Hall at 1 pm, on July 15, as members of our facilities and public safety teams discuss their experiences and address your questions in real-time.

Among the many changes to campus will be the installation of plexiglass dividers between desks, the use of advanced electrostatic disinfecting machines to clean surfaces and daily temperature screenings of students and staff.

“The lack of traffic on campus over the past few months has made it easier for our department (facilities) to plan and complete special projects that were previously difficult with classes in session. I’ve implemented a comprehensive sanitizing and disinfecting program, and our staff has been trained to properly clean surfaces with this new equipment,” RCBC Custodial Lead Michael Henry shared. “I’m confident that we’re going to be ready to open even with the new protocols in place.”

Tyler Conlin, of RCBC’s Public Safety department, stressed that the primary differences in their duties will lie in conducting temperature checks and health screenings of students and staff entering campus buildings. They will also have masks available to those who need them. Zachary Bonto, a fellow Public Safety officer, also emphasized the importance of closely monitoring those who come to campus and ensuring proper social distancing.

Tune in to the livestream to hear about how RCBC is prioritizing student safety, making additional preparations and, of course, to submit your questions in real-time.
