Dean's List students with Barry

Rowan College at Burlington County President Dr. Michael A. Cioce and RCBC’s new mascot, Barry the Baron, hand-delivered certificates on Wednesday to students who are among the college’s record-breaking number of Dean’s List recipients.

This fall, RCBC had 1,714 students make the semester’s Dean’s List. It is the most number of Dean’s List students in the college’s history. The college is celebrating its 50thanniversary this year.

Students in Dr. Jonathan Alexander’s and William Wend’s English classes were surprised with a visit from RCBC Liberal Arts Dean Donna Vandergrift who announced they were part of a special group of students to earn the Dean’s List recognition.

To celebrate this occasion, RCBC created a social media kit with special graphics to help Dean’s List students share their achievements online. RCBC is also encouraging students to use the hashtag #RCBCDeansList, so that the college can share the posts.

The Dean’s List is the official recognition by the college of outstanding academic achievement by students. Students are awarded this recognition during the fall and spring semesters.
