RCBC to host veterans resource fair and open new center to boost graduation rates of veterans

With the goal of improving success rates among veteran students, Rowan College at Burlington County will officially open a new Center of Excellence for Veterans Student Success on Saturday, April 30 in conjunction with a community fair for veterans.

The Burlington County District 11 Veterans of Foreign Wars and the VFW Auxiliary is organizing the fair in Votta Hall from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Veterans can get information about VA claims filing, federal and state veterans’ benefits, housing, counseling, employment, discharge upgrades and more.

Business student enjoys flexibility and personalization offered at RCBC

Nearly 50% of today’s college students are considered first-generation. For Dana Knittel, earning a college degree is a necessity. A first-gen college student, Knittel knows the challenges associated with lacking a college degree. She studies business at Rowan College at Burlington County and hopes to eventually pursue a career as a real estate agent. 

Aspen selects two RCBC leaders to participate in national fellowship

The Aspen Institute College Excellence Program announced on Monday that it selected two Rowan College at Burlington County executives to be part of national fellowships designed to support new and prospective presidents achieve higher and more equitable levels of student success.

RCBC President Dr. Michael A. Cioce is one of 26 selected for the 2022-23 class of the Aspen New Presidents Fellowship and RCBC Vice President of Enrollment Management and Student Success Dr. Karen Archambault is one of 31 selected for the 2022-23 class of the Aspen Rising Presidents Fellowship.

Did you know October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month?

Rowan College at Burlington County’s 2020 valedictorian Shanni Prutchi was featured in a statewide meeting about the NJ Pathways to Career Opportunities in Technology. Because of the success of students like Shanni and the college’s Cybersecurity program, the college is a Center for Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense and a Center of Workforce Innovation for Cybersecurity.
