Pharmacy technicians are an integral part of the pharmacy team. They play critical roles in patient care and are responsible for crucial functions, such as sterile compounding, inventory management, medication distribution, and other essential medication and administrative functions. There’s an estimated shortage of pharmacy technicians, creating a faster-than-average growth opportunity in the industry. 

  • The average salary is over $40,000 in Burlington County for entry-level.
  • Earn your certification within 10 weeks.

Pharmacy technicians are in demand and work in many positions:

  • Hospital pharmacy
  • IV Compounding Technician
  • Medication Reconciliation Technician
  • Pharmacy Buyer/Inventory Specialist
  • Drug Program Analyst/Buyer
  • Pharmacy Informatics
  • Immunization Administration

Fall 2024

  • Starts September 10 - November 14
  • Meets Tuesday and Thursday mornings 8 am to noon at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Pemberton.
  • Plus 32 hours of job shadowing experience
  • Course completed in 10 weeks

Requirements:

  • Physical Exam
  • Immunizations including tetanus, flu, PPD and titers.
  • Health Insurance
  • Liability insurance
  • Criminal background and drug screen
  • RCBC scrubs
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 18 years or older
  • Must own laptop and have reliable access to the internet
  • CPR certification
