RCBC celebrates more than 1,100 grads with leaders of Freedom Mortgage, Strive Physical Therapy, and student award winners

Rowan College at Burlington County (RCBC), whose graduation rate exceeds the national average for community colleges, will celebrate more than 1,100 graduates over two ceremonies on Wednesday, May 14, with keynote addresses featuring Stanley C. Middleman, Freedom Mortgage CEO and Phillies minority owner, and Jamie Martin, Strive Physical Therapy’s chief marketing officer and managing partner.

Alum pledges $725,000 endowment to RCBC – one of the largest single gifts in the college’s history

Rowan College at Burlington County (RCBC) will celebrate a $725,000 gift from alum Joseph P. Wechselberger on Thursday, May 8, by naming the college’s nursing labs in his honor. 

Wechselberger graduated in 1977 and has returned almost 50 years later to support the endeavors of its students, faculty, and staff through an endowment in his will to the RCBC Foundation.

Math reform adds up to improved student performance at RCBC

A large-scale math reform aimed at helping more students graduate increased course pass rates and decreased the use of developmental math during its first semester of implementation at Rowan College at Burlington County (RCBC).

"Two years ago, we identified that math was a stumbling block that prevented many students from completing their goals,” said RCBC President Dr. Michael A. Cioce. “We will make math a stepping stone for student success.”

RCBC, Rowan University announce new path for electrical engineering technology

Rowan College at Burlington County (RCBC) and Rowan University announced a new way for Engineering Technology students to complete their bachelor’s degrees. The two institutions signed an addendum to their 2019 partnership agreement that creates a new pathway for RCBC students seeking a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from Rowan University.

“The EET program at RCBC is a great hands-on program that teaches you real skills and how to use devices that you will see on job postings,” said RCBC Electrical Engineering student Nathan Philbin.
