If you’ve been walking or driving around the Rowan College at Burlington County campus these past few months, you may have noticed some colorful new additions hanging from the light poles. In March, new tri-fold banners were installed as part of a grant highlighting students studying to enter nontraditional roles.
RCBC to host EMS Community Event
Rowan College at Burlington County (RCBC) will host its annual Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Community Event on Saturday, June 7, from 11 am to 3 pm at the college’s Health Sciences Center at 1000 Briggs Road in Mount Laurel.

Award-winning director and RCBC alum Mario Cerrito III is back with third installment of horror franchise, with some help from Barons
Filmmaker Mario Cerrito III had no plans for the silver screen at first. Originally from Salem County, Cerrito attended Rowan College at Burlington County in 2003 to play baseball and study criminal justice. It was after graduation when he entered construction that he found himself unhappy and picked up screenwriting instead.
RCBC earns statewide recognition for supporting veteran students

RCBC graduate Claire Robbins turns challenges into achievements in the kitchen
Overactive and hyper as a child, Claire Robbins’ parents found it hard to get her to settle down. There was only one thing that got her attention—the Food Network.
“That was what inspired me to love cooking and start my journey in cooking,” said the Rowan College at Burlington County Culinary Arts graduate. “I just love the idea that there’s so many things you can do with food… that food can bring people together.”
RCBC to set record with five graduation ceremonies in one day
Rowan College at Burlington County will hold its May 14 commencement indoors because of rain in the forecast, which means the college will break its record with five graduation ceremonies in one day.
“Rain can force us inside, but a little weather cannot dampen the spirit of Rowan College at Burlington County Barons,” said RCBC President Dr. Michael A. Cioce. “Every graduate deserves a celebration, and we’ll stay as long as it takes to cheer everyone across the stage for a well-deserved moment of recognition for their hard work and achievement.”
Winter Jazz Ensemble Concert

The RCBC Music Department presents the RCBC Jazz Ensemble in concert. Come enjoy an evening of jazz with the RCBC Student Jazz Ensemble. This concert is open to the faculty, staff, students, and the public.
After changing course, RCBC graduate Nakul Mittal earns co-valedictorian
Nakul Mittal traveled 8,000 miles to New Jersey to pursue his dreams of secondary education in the United States. Already daunted by the distance and the time he’d be away from his family in India, he’d face another challenge when circumstances forced him to transfer from his initial college choice, Rider University.
