A message from the acting president
Hello RCBC Community,
This morning, the College received a reported threat, prompting a law enforcement response and a brief lockdown of our campus.
Following an investigation, the Mount Laurel Police Department determined that the threat was unfounded and the incident was a hoax, commonly referred to as "swatting," in which a false emergency is reported to prompt a law enforcement response.
The lockdown has been lifted; there is no credible threat to our campus, and normal College operations have resumed.
As RCBC continues its normal operations, I thank the Mt. Laurel Police Department for their speedy response and diligence, the RCBC Department of Public Safety for their safekeeping of our environment, and to all Faculty, Staff, Administrators, and Students, for your resilience and dedication - as we all work to continue to meet the Mission of RCBC:
Rowan College at Burlington County transforms lives by delivering innovative, high-quality, and affordable educational experiences in an accessible and diverse environment.
I recognize that an incident of this nature can be unsettling, and its impact may be felt differently by each member of our community. I encourage faculty, staff, and students to take advantage of the support resources available to them.
