The world’s games will come home to Burlington County when Rowan College at Burlington County hosts a Soccerfest26 watch party for several global soccer matches on its Mount Laurel campus July 1. The day is promised to be one of community and culture, filled with fun bouncy inflatables, food trucks, giveaways, and more that the whole family can take part in.
"Few events bring the world together like the FIFA World Cup™, and RCBC is proud to bring that excitement home to Burlington County,” said RCBC Acting President Dr. David Spang. “We are excited to welcome our community to our beautiful campus for an evening filled with soccer, food, and fun as fans of all ages come together to celebrate the world’s game. Whether you’re a lifelong supporter or experiencing the excitement for the first time, Soccerfest26 is an opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable community experience right here at RCBC."
Bring your chairs and blankets; starting at 3 pm when parking opens, attendees can watch the day’s 4 pm and 8 pm matches on a giant outdoor screen in the heart of the campus quad. Throughout the day, a beer garden will also be open for visitors to enjoy.
Supported by Burlington County officials, the Burlington County Bridge Commission, and the tourism marketing nonprofit Visit South Jersey, college officials are looking forward to the day that will bring together friends, family, neighbors, and soccer fans from across the South Jersey region to experience the excitement, energy, and camaraderie of the global games and experience the vibrant, modern campus of RCBC
“We are incredibly grateful to the State of New Jersey, Choose New Jersey, and the New Jersey Economic Development Authority for this opportunity and for their continued investment in communities across our state,” said Michael P. Snyder, Director of Operations for Visit South Jersey. “The World Cup Community Grant allows Visit South Jersey to create meaningful activities in Burlington County and the entire South Jersey region, giving residents a chance to celebrate the excitement of the World Cup close to home while also showcasing to visitors from around the world what makes South Jersey such a special place. From our waterfronts and downtowns to our small businesses, cultural partners, and welcoming communities, this is an extraordinary opportunity to share the energy, pride, and hospitality of South Jersey on a global stage.”
“The world is watching, and Burlington County has a front-row seat. The support of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority and Visit South Jersey, combined with the incredible partnership of Rowan College at Burlington County, has made it possible for our community to be part of one of the most celebrated sporting events in human history,” said Rob Wells, Director of Economic Development, Burlington County. “We couldn't be more proud and we are excited.”
