This pathway leads to a Bachelor of Science in Data Science from Rowan University!

Below is a sample schedule for students pursuing RCBC’s Liberal Arts & Science degree with an option in Mathematics (AS.MTH), the recommended associate degree for this program.

  • History (see associate degree for options) (3CR)

Semester 2
(14 credits)

  • ENG 102 College Composition II (3CR)
  • MTH 119 Calculus II and Analytic Geometry (4CR)
  • CSE 112 Intro to Computer Sciences (4CR)
  • Social Science (see associate degree for options; recommend ANT 102, GEO 102, POL 130) (3CR)

Semester 3
(15 credits)

  • MTH 220 Calculus III and Analytic Geometry (4CR)
  • Science with Lab: suggest PHY 210/211 (4CR)
  • CSE 115 Intro to Data Science (3CR)
  • Diversity: LIT 203, LIT 206, LIT 211, LIT 216 or LIT 217 (3CR)

C or better required in all math and computer courses. 

Semester 4
(15-16 credits)

  • CIS 139 Intro to Python (3CR)

If you complete all recommended and required courses, you will earn an AS.MTH degree after semester 4.

 

Rowan University Courses

Total credits: 60

Courses are taken on the Glassboro Campus. Students need to apply to Rowan University in their last semester at RCBC. Students are automatically admitted if they graduate from RCBC with an AA or AS degree, have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 (including all colleges attended), and complete the traditional transfer application process. Please meet with your Rowan University academic advisor to plan your courses at Rowan University.
