ServSafe Food Handler Certification

Learn about basic food safety through the ServSafe Food Handler certification.

A ServSafe Food Handler certification verifies that a person has the knowledge and skills to handle food safely and prevent foodborne illnesses. The certification is for food handler employees, such as cooks, waitstaff, and dishwashers. To earn the certification, you must complete the ServSafe Food Handler course and pass a 40-question exam. The course covers topics such as Basic Food Safety, Personal Hygiene, Cross-Contamination and Allergens, Time and Temperature, and Cleaning and Sanitation.

Course fees include: Textbook and one attempt of the certification exam.
