Take this course to become a CPT.
Certified phlebotomy technicians draw blood specimens from patients in hospitals, blood centers or similar facilities for analysis or other medical purposes. Clinical training and practicum experiences will provide students the opportunity to make successful unaided blood collections, including venipunctures and skin punctures.
This course will teach the theory and practice of phlebotomy procedures, including proper collection techniques, special collections, processing and transporting specimens and safety and compliance regulations. Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be eligible to sit for the national phlebotomy technician certification (CPT) examination with the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
Prerequisite: High school diploma or GED

Must be turned in first week of class.
All of Rowan College at Burlington County’s partners that provide clinical experiences to students, including RCBC’s Dental Clinic, require COVID vaccination for anyone who is treating patients.
Students in Health Science programs that require a clinical placement are required to be vaccinated for their own, and their patients’, safety.
