MOUNT LAUREL – Rowan College at Burlington County announced today during the 50th anniversary of National EMS Week that it will extend a tuition discount for first responders seeking Emergency Medical Technician certification.
“This is a worthy investment in the brave men and women who save lives in our communities every day,” said RCBC President Dr. Michael A. Cioce. “This discount has helped several dozen first responders expand their skill set, which enhances our community’s ability to respond to emergencies. I’m thrilled to continue this discount, especially when we recognize first responders during National EMS Week.”
The college has offered this discount since 2021. All 44 first responders who applied for the discount have completed the course and earned state certification.
“The dedication of our county’s first responders to their communities and lifelong learning is beyond inspirational,” said Burlington County Commissioner Director Felicia Hopson. “We salute first responders during National EMS week and every day. We commend Rowan College at Burlington County for making the education of first responders an important priority for Burlington County.”
The $800 discount may be applied to RCBC’s Emergency Medical Technical Certificate Program. This offer is eligible to members in good standing of any Burlington County Emergency Service Organization (police, fire or EMS). First responders interested in this discount require approval from their squad’s chief and can email admissions@rcbc.edu for more information.
