Dr. Catherine Briggs

Dr. Cathy Briggs is the Dean of Student Success at Rowan College at Burlington County. As a leader in higher education, she is committed to driving institutional change and innovation across all student services. Dr. Briggs is responsible for a broad range of responsibilities that include academic support, student well-being, conduct and the overall campus experience. She directly supervises department leadership in Tutoring, Testing, Student Support, New Student Experience, and Student Life. She leads a diverse team of full- and part-time staff and collaborates closely with faculty and Academic Deans on student success initiatives. She has experience writing and implementing grants, having coordinated multiple retention-based initiatives as the Director for the Title III Strengthening Institutions Grant. She is also serves as the College’s Title IX Coordinator.

Dr. Briggs has worked in higher education for over twenty-five years. Her professional focus centers on creating a student-ready environment with an emphasis on personalized connections and continuous improvement of the student experience through effective policy and processes. She has built successful programs across both two-year and four-year institutions, including initiatives in student services, residence life, and orientation. Dr. Briggs holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s of Arts in Higher Education Administration from Rowan University and completed her Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) in Organizational Leadership and Innovation from Wilmington University.
