Looking to enter a career in law enforcement, private security or with the courts? Stop by Rowan College at Burlington County on March 31, from 12 to 2:30 pm, in the Student Success Center on their Mount Laurel Campus.

Agencies from local, county, state and federal law enforcement, including policing, corrections and the courts will be present at the event.

There will also be agencies representing private security/loss prevention companies and information about Security Officer Registration Act (SORA) training that the college is planning to offer this summer. SORA training is mandated for all contract security positions throughout New Jersey.

“We’re very excited to offer exposure to so many employment opportunities right here on campus,” RCBC Law and Public Service Instructor Dr. Amber Ciccanti said. “Bringing together agencies representing various aspects of law enforcement will allow participants to find their niche and choose the path that’s best for them. In some cases, interested individuals will be able to apply for a position or submit a formal notice of interest on the spot!”

This event is free and open to the public and will be hosted on the same day as a special FBI Hate Crime Symposium. The symposium will take place at 6 pm and will share information about the role of the FBI, the United States Attorney’s Office and the Department of Justice in combating hate crimes. RCBC adjunct and Chief of Police for the Burlington City Police Department John Fine will sit among the panelists.
