Rowan College at Burlington County successfully held its winter commencement once again, marking the third time the college has offered graduation ceremonies in December. On Dec. 17, hundreds of students and their families packed Votta Hall auditorium to usher in the next generation of college graduates.
The 2025 winter commencement saw 264 graduates walk the stage across the three ceremonies, up from 168 the previous year. Among the college’s divisions, there were 98 graduates from Humanities, Business, and Social Sciences, 94 from Health Sciences, and 72 from Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
And under the college’s Educational Opportunity Fund program, there were 10 graduates, four more than last winter. Three of the graduates graduated with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
“The continued growth of our winter commencement demonstrates the momentum of RCBC and the determination of our students,” said Acting President Dr. David Spang. “It reflects the college’s commitment to access, equity, and student success, meeting Barons where they are and celebrating their hard-earned accomplishments.”
Beginning in 2023, holding winter ceremonies has increased the number of students participating in commencement. Holding two ceremonies a year means more RCBC Barons can commemorate their achievements more than ever before.
In 2024, there were 253 grads with 260 credentials in summer and 527 grads with 602 credentials in fall. In comparison, the summer 2025 semester saw 287 graduates, while the fall semester saw 592, for a total of 879 graduates who earned 898 degrees and 48 certificates. That is an approximate increase of 13% for summer and 12% for fall.
If you, your friend, or a family member graduated in 2025, please fill out the First Destination Survey, which lets the college know your post-graduation plans, such as whether you’re continuing your education, working, joining the military, or doing something else.
