The Office of Student Support (OSS) will be providing Suicide Prevention training to students in February.

Please join us for training surrounding supporting others, specifically regarding suicidal behavior. This training covers myths and facts surrounding suicide and best practices for providing support. There will be time for questions as well.

About the presenter: 

Danielle LaMaine is a mental health counselor with the Student Support Office and a licensed clinical social worker. She has over eight years of experience in the mental health field, working with at-risk youth in the foster care system, survivors of human trafficking, and as an Intensive In-Community (IIC) therapist in South Jersey. Danielle is passionate about supporting mental health and providing education that helps strengthen and inform the community. This training will offer guidance on how to support individuals who may be experiencing mental health challenges and where to access appropriate services.
