While you wait, check out these quick tips to make getting connected with your RCBC advisor simple!
If you haven’t already done so, you should download the WebEx app now while you are waiting so that you are ready to connect immediately when it is your turn.
Open the WebEx app while you wait to accept the initial terms and agreement. Once you do that, simply click the meeting room link in the next text you receive to connect instantly with your advisor.
Perform a test call while you wait to verify you are ready to connect to your meeting. You may join a test call. If everything is working, then simply leave the test call and wait until you have reached the front of the line. Then click the meeting room link and get connected with your advisor.
Want your parent or guardian to join your session with you? Once you’ve reached the front of the line and you’ve received the link to your meeting room, simply forward that link to your parent or guardian. They will need to follow the same steps to download and open the WebEx app for their mobile device. Then they can simply click the link and join the meeting room with you and your advisor.
In the event of technical difficulties, we can only hold your spot for a few minutes before we must move on to the next student in line. You can always re-join the line once you have resolved any technical difficulties. If you are unable to resolve the issues, you can always email us directly at advising@rcbc.edu to request assistance and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Prefer to chat on a webcam-enabled Mac or Windows-based computer? When you have reached the front of the line, you will receive a follow-up text with a link in it to connect you with your advisor. Simply type that URL into your desktop web browser and follow the prompts to join the room.
Once in session, if you are having trouble viewing shared content on your mobile device due to the small display size, then you can try using the pinch to zoom option during your session to follow along and see things a little clearer.
Wait times fluctuate from day to day. We appreciate your patience, and please know that we are working as quickly as possible to assist our students with everything they need to be successful at RCBC.
