Bashful no more, 2023 President’s Award winner finds the courage within

As a youngster, Riverside native, and RCBC nursing student, Taylor Fritz recalls the common after-work chatter between her parents, both EMTs at the time, and now, the everyday conversations with her sister center around her job as a patient care technician. It was almost prescribed that she too would enter into a career in healthcare. 

RCBC graduate makes great strides in science, business and life

If ever there was a Renaissance student graduating from Rowan College at Burlington County, Sarah Heil encapsulates that role in stride. Heil is a member of several honors societies on campus, pursues personal scientific research and even beekeeping, all while balancing an art business and a full-time job as a classroom behavioral analyst and aide. Not only that, but she’s also maintained a perfect 4.0 throughout her academic career at the college, which earned her recognition as a 2023 President’s Award winner.

RCBC student, veteran and entrepreneur uses positivity to overcome discrimination

Anthony Jones has been all over the world and even out on the street. He’s been in literal wars and uses positivity to overcome the discrimination he’s faced as a Black man and veteran who transitioned to civilian life. With the help of his girlfriend, Shavone Warren (who introduces herself as his No. 1 fan), Anthony, or  A.J., has found his place at Rowan College at Burlington County as a serial entrepreneur and an older student who challenges his instructors and mentors the younger students in his class. Student Spotlight: Jonathan D’Arpino Shares His Story of Studying Criminal Justice

Jonathan D'Arpino developed an interest in law and public service when he discovered his mother's unappreciated work with the Department of Children and Families (DCF). Her focus was on helping children in need of secure, nourishing and supportive homes. He grew up in Cinnaminson, New Jersey where he attended the local high school before enrolling in Rowan College at Burlington County (RCBC).

Former RCBC Student Receives Her White Coat: Marking Her Transition into the Medical Field

Isabella Caputi commemorated her acceptance into the medical field during her white coat ceremony at Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine (RVSOM). Despite being advised by academic and field professionals to give up due to her grades not aligning with those of most medical professionals, she persevered through her journey.

RCBC Alum Recently Crowned International Mrs. USA 2023-2024

Rowan College at Burlington County alum Chimere Nicole Haskins has won International Mrs. USA 2023, her second nationally recognized title, after winning Mrs. New Jersey America in 2020.

Growing up in Trenton, Haskins found her passion for helping and connecting with others. She began her journey in cosmetology, a career of 20+ years, and soon after, she began running her own salon styling looks for models and pageant queens alike.
