The AHA’s BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.
What does this course teach?
- High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
- The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
- Important early use of an AED
- Effective ventilations using a barrier device
- Importance of teams in multirescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR
- Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants
HIPAA compliance training for healthcare workers will ensure your knowledge and understanding of the important pieces of HIPAA standards and regulations.
The training teaches healthcare professionals how to handle protected health information (PHI) in line with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Training ensures that individuals are aware of their duties and responsibilities, protecting patient privacy, and maintaining the confidentiality of health data.
Learning Objectives
- Describe the purpose of HIPAA legislation
- Identify the changes implemented to HIPAA by the Omnibus Final Rule
- Identify the key elements of the HIPAA Privacy Rule, HIPAA Security Rule, and HIPAA Enforcement Rule
- Explain the process for Breach Notification
- Interpret the Unique Identifiers and Transaction and Code Set Rules
- Identify ways how to apply these rules to his/her daily practice as a health care worker
This IACET-accredited online Bloodborne Pathogens training certification course is designed for anyone working in a setting where they may be exposed to bloodborne pathogens (BBP) or other potential infections materials. This course will provide CDC and OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens standards for handling BBP.
Learning Objectives:
- Define bloodborne pathogen
- Identify how bloodborne pathogens spread
- Identify how to prevent the spread of bloodborne pathogens
- Explain the concepts of Universal Precautions and Standard Precautions
- Review the purpose of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- List OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogen Standard
- Recall the concepts of work practice and engineering controls
- Explain what to do if one is exposed to blood or OPIM

- The resume workshop will be a session that teaches participants how to create effective, professional resumes. It covers resume formatting, highlighting skills and experience, tailoring resumes for specific jobs, and avoiding common mistakes—aiming to improve job application success.
- The interviewing skills workshop will help participants prepare for job interviews by teaching effective communication, how to answer common questions, present strengths, and make a positive impression.
