RCBC Library Study Rooms
Reservations

The library has 4 study rooms that are available for current students, faculty and staff only.

Study rooms can be reserved at the circulation desk, by phone, text, chat or through LibCal.

Study rooms may be reserved once a day, up to 4 hours per day.

A room that has been reserved takes priority over walk-ins.
-
Administrators have priority for room use, even if a student has made a reservation.

Reservations are accepted up to 30 days in advance.

The student that made the room reservation must check-in at the circulation desk and show current RCBC ID at the start of the reserved block.

The student that has made the room reservation will be responsible for the condition of the room.
Occupancy

Rooms can not exceed the posted capacity of 6 people.

Group study rooms are provided for groups of 2 or more (no more than 6).

Not for individual use, individuals can use a study carrel or other seating in library.
Personal Property

The library/college is not responsible for unattended, lost, stolen or damaged personal items.

Personal property that is left unoccupied will be removed by the library staff and will be taken to Public Safety at the end of the day.
Privacy / Safety

College employees reserve the right to enter a group study room at any time without prior permission of the occupants.

When the study room is occupied, the lights must be left on at ALL times.

Obstruction of windows is prohibited.

Occupants are prohibited from using any equipment that may be a fire hazard.

Furniture cannot be moved in or out of a study room.
Behavior

Smoking, sleeping, card playing, games, movie watching, club meetings and/or any other activities deemed to be disruptive will not be permitted in the study rooms.

Voices should be kept at a low conversational level. Noise must be kept to a minimum; the rooms are NOT soundproof, so please be considerate of others.

Public Safety will be called if failure to comply to the Group Study Room procedures, which can result in eviction from the room and denial of future reservations.
