Earn an Associate of Applied Science from RCBC’s Health Science Division and a Bachelor of Art in Health Studies with the 3+1 Health Studies major.

Learn skills in professionalism, adaptability, problem-solving, leadership, multicultural sensitivity, and planning and organization. Compete for advancement within your professional healthcare field.

Students interested in this program must be in one of the following majors at RCBC to sign up for 3+1 Health Studies: AAS Dental Hygiene, AAS Diagnostic Medical Sonography, AAS, Paramedic Sciences, or AAS. Radiography.

* This program requires in-person courses for the AAS degree. Senior year courses with Rowan University are only offered online.

This pathway leads to a Bachelor of Arts in Health Studies from Rowan University.

Students interested in this program must be in one of the following majors at RCBC to sign up for 3+1 Health Studies: AAS Dental Hygiene, AAS Diagnostic Medical Sonography, AAS, Paramedic Sciences, or AAS. Radiography. Students must graduate from one of these majors, pass their licensure exam and have a 3.0 GPA to continue onto the bachelor’s degree.

After completing the AAS. Dental Hygiene (DHY) program at RCBC, start taking the junior year courses listed below. For more information about what courses are required for the AAS.DHY program, please click here.

  • HUS 207 Addiction Dynamics & Intervention
  • PHI 205 Ethics or any Literature, except LIT 215 and LIT 218
  • Artistic Literacy (recommend ART 101, GIS 160, MUS 101 or THR 101)
  • ENG 102 College Composition II

Students are required to have a 3.0 GPA or higher with RCBC and to pass the NBDHE Examination to continue on with Rowan University
