When it comes to veterans affairs, “most people care about the people they know…but there are so many people who go unnoticed for what they do.”
Rowan College at Burlington County's 2020 valedictorian, Shanni Prutchi, describes what made the difference in studying cybersecurity at RCBC and preparing her for work in the real world.
In 2019 David Dunkerson created a Nonprofit Sports Organization called We Fight Together Inc. A league of leagues for youth and amateur athletes. The purpose of creating WFT is to improve all of youth & amateur sports not just for the athletes but for parents, coaches, organizations and communities .
Neither of my parents went to college, and yes, they are still successful, but having a college degree to me is necessary. Even if you have plans that don’t require a degree, and you find out you don’t want to pursue that plan anymore, you have a degree to fall back on just in case. I know my parents are proud of me, and it makes me feel good to know that I am putting in the effort and doing something right that will benefit me in the future.
“As the Board, we will support our leadership team in keeping an open door policy for our students,” Walton said. “This is how we will not only create access, but also support completion. Greater resources to bring students in, greater focus on how to connect with students and who they are at their core, what support services are needed, how and why and much more. Here is the thing – we think we know, and we do to some extent, but we must listen to the voices of our students to truly understand how to best do this.”
“I have been impressed with the growth of RCBC and their partnership with Rowan University, as well as the variety of degrees offered,” Reed said. “I would like to continue to champion the diverse representation of students in the variety of curricula. I would also like to work toward building an aquatics center that includes an indoor track to be used by students and county residents.”
“RCBC has the 3+1 program, and it was an institute where I knew that I would be known by my name and not just a numbered student,” Chaunce said. “My whole experience has been exceptional here. I can say that not every class that I have taken was overly exciting, but I find at least a few golden nuggets in everything I do. The culinary experience has definitely been an exciting journey for me.”
“In comparison to other colleges I researched, Rowan College at Burlington County was affordable,” Marion said. “I also qualified for several grants through RCBC, and my first semester of classes really piqued my interest. I realized ‘I like this. I’m doing very well here.’”
“I heard about RCBC from a friend, and one day I decided to stop by and ask about the English courses. I had a good adviser; I am very thankful because I improved my English, and I found a better job. RCBC has great English professors, and that made me decide to pursue a career.”
