Rowan College at Burlington County’s radiography program graduates who took the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) examination earned the highest honors in New Jersey for 2025. RCBC earned a 100% pass rate, with all 11 examinees passing, and received the highest mean score of 89.82, ranking RCBC #1 among the 15 state programs with examinees.

By comparison, of the 264 graduates who took the exam, 247 passed, and 17 failed, with a mean score of 84.36 and a passing percentage of 93.56%. RCBC graduates beat out the second-highest-scoring program in mean score by more than one whole point; that program earned an 88.41.

"I am so proud of our radiography students,” said Acting Radiography Program Director Christine Patrowicz. “We have all worked incredibly hard in this program. I know this firsthand, having graduated from the program, then returning as an adjunct and traveling preceptor, and now serving as the acting director. It’s truly an honor to lead the number one radiography program in the state of New Jersey."

Within the last year, RCBC was invited to apply its radiography program to New Jersey’s Pay It Forward program. It was ultimately selected, making it the only school in South Jersey to offer the program. Now, RCBC radiography students have a more affordable, accessible path to a radiography degree and to becoming a certified radiologist, thanks to no-interest, zero-fee loans on tuition, free support services, and a monthly stipend offered to accepted students.

“I was proud when Rowan College at Burlington County’s radiography program was accepted into the New Jersey Pay It Forward Program,” said Dean of Health Sciences Dr. Karen Montalto. “This program has already helped nursing students for the last two years, and we are excited that now our radiography students get to receive the same opportunities."

RCBC radiography graduates’ success was in part championed by the Perkins V: Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act, administered by the New Jersey Department of Education, which covered the exam fees.
