The Educational Opportunity Fund Program at Rowan College at Burlington County is a grant-funded program that provides financial and academic support to highly motivated New Jersey residents from financially and academically challenged backgrounds. To qualify for this program, scholars must meet state mandated income eligibility requirements.

EOF Mission Statement

The Educational Opportunity Fund Program (EOF) of Rowan College at Burlington County (RCBC) provides equitable access to higher education to eligible scholars who demonstrate great potential to succeed but may lack the necessary economic and academic resources. The staff is committed to providing comprehensive and financial support that fosters academic success, professional and personal growth, and promotes career development that encourages continued enrollment through graduation.

Am I Eligible?

If you are a New Jersey resident who has a high school diploma or its equivalent, are interested in attending college full-time and meet the financial guidelines, you may be eligible for acceptance to the EOF program.  All first-time, first-year scholars must also attend the EOF Summer Pre-College Learning Institute in August.

When is my EOF application due?

Please adhere to the following submission dates:

  • Fall Term admission: September 1st
  • Spring Term admission: February 1st
How do I learn the status of my application?

Once we receive and review your application, we will send the status of your application to your RCBC issued email address. 

Is the essay required on my EOF application?

Yes, an essay is a required component of the EOF application process. Detailed essay instructions can be found on the application itself. Essays are reviewed by the EOF staff during the application review process. an application without an essay will be deemed incomplete. 

Do I need to reapply every term to the EOF program?

No. However, you must complete the FAFSA application each year. 

I was in the EOF program at another college. Do I still need to apply?

Yes. Even though you are considered “EOF” once you gain admission into any EOF program in the state. However, you will receive priority over other applicants provided that you left in “good standing” at your former institution.
