NOTE: Meeting all admission requirements DOES NOT guarantee admission into the program. You are evaluated against all others who apply during the current cycle.

  • Applicants who have attended another radiography program must obtain a letter stating that they left in good standing. If admitted, the applicant will have to complete the program in its entirety. We do not transfer radiography courses from other programs.

Admissions Decisions

Applicants will be selected according to the total points earned based on the admission rubric. Those with the highest points on the rubric and the fewest failed and repeated courses are admitted first. As stated, all required non-radiography courses are included on the rubric.

The RCBC Radiography Admission Rubric awards points in the following way: A 10 points, A- 9 points, B+ 8 points, B 7 points, B- 6 points, C+ 3 points, C 2 points, C-, D, F no points. IF a student fails and repeats a course, the points are averaged (for example- D and then repeats for an A= 5 points) IF a student retakes a passed course for a better grade, only the higher grade is put on the rubric (example received a C in a course, retook it and received an A = 10 points).

Students are notified of admission decisions the first week in February through their RCBC email only.

Acceptance into the Program

IF accepted, the student will have to complete additional requirements prior to the start of the program. If the student fails to complete the requirements prior to the deadline, their admission will be rescinded. All admissions are conditional. Once admitted, students are directed to a landing page where requirements are described and directions are given on how to complete them through our providers. Students must have:

A clear criminal background screening and a clear drug screening

Proof of health insurance

CPR certification through the American Heart Association (BLS for the healthcare provider) -note this is the only one accepted and must be an “in person” class. It must state this on the card and the official card must be submitted.

Completion of mandatory health requirements that includes a physical exam, two step TB test, Titers for communicable diseases and follow up for titers that do not show immunity

Tetanus booster within the last 10 years

Flu vaccination yearly (state of NJ requirement for healthcare providers)

Covid Vaccination IF required by clinical agency

Please note:  Students are responsible for their own transportation to clinical sites.

Students who are not accepted or decline admission to the Radiography program must re-apply in a future application cycle. Nothing is kept on file from one application cycle to the next. Students who are not accepted off of the wait list must reapply the following year to be re-considered.
