Financial Assistance at the Joint Base

RCBC has a comprehensive financial aid program that includes scholarships, grants, loans and work-study opportunities to assist students in meeting college costs. Funds come from many sources including state and federal governments, local businesses and industry, and civic organizations. Our on-base Military and Veteran Services Coordinator can help you with any question you might have about tuition support, scholarship support, or other financial aid options. Information about National Guard benefits may also be found online and on-Base at the New Jersey Army National Guard Education Services Office, Floor, B 204, in BLDG 3650, Saylors Pond Road.    

Military Spouses and Domestic Partners

Rowan College at Burlington County offers academic assistance and advice to military spouses on base every day of the week, at our offices in the Military Education Center, located at 4 School Road (Building 3829).  Please ask for Jennifer George, Coordinator of our Office of Military Education and Veteran Services.

Our staff can help explain tuition, benefits and scholarship programs, financial aid and scheduling. Be sure to ask about RCBC's Military Spouse/Domestic Partnership Scholarship Program.

How to Attend Class on the Joint Base Campus

The Joint Base requires visitor passes for ALL non-military personnel entering the Base and going to the Joint Base Education Center:  students, drivers, and instructors.  Passes will be issued for the length of the course being taken.  On the first day of class, please report to the Visitor's Center with the following items:

  • A valid (current) state driver's license with a Homeland Security Seal  OR a valid (current) passport.
  • A valid (current) state auto registration.
  • A valid (current) auto insurance card for at least the length of the class. In cases where insurance does not cover the length of the class, the pass will only be issued to that date - they must return for another pass with updated auto insurance.

Please note students and instructors must depart from the Base within 30 minutes of the end of the class.

Courses Offered on the Joint Base Campus

As an RCBC student, you will be able to take advantage of many different programs, delivered many different ways, leading to certificates, associate degrees, bachelor’s, and even master’s – at the lowest cost offered almost anywhere in New Jersey.

On our Joint Base Campus, RCBC offers:

  • Small classes taught by experienced practitioners.
  • High-tech classrooms.
  • Classes taught after work.
  • All courses taught in an accelerated, seven-week format.   
  • Classes that start twice per term.
  • Full financial aid and other benefits if you take two courses per session, four per term for students that qualify for federal or state aid.
