In this course, we will:

• Recognize common acceptable abbreviations in nursing.
• Differentiate between a capsule, tablet, IV bag, IV tubing and intermittent infusion.
• Identify the parts of a syringe.
• Practice reading a drug label/order.
• Calculate the correct dose of medication to administer.
• Discuss units of measurement in medication administration.
• Identify therapeutic communication techniques.
