Personal & Professional Development offers non-credit courses to the community so that all students have the opportunity to upgrade present skills, pursue new ones or explore a hobby in these special courses. All age groups are represented in these credit-free courses and are registered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Course Policies and Procedures

Class Cancellation
Insufficient enrollment may cause some classes to be canceled. It is important to register early, so that your registration can help the class meet the minimum number. We do not register students in the classroom. We make every effort to notify registered students in the event of a cancellation.

PLEASE NOTE: REMEMBER TO INCLUDE BOTH YOUR HOME AND WORK PHONE NUMBERS WITH YOUR REGISTRATION.

Refund Policy
All requests for refunds must be submitted prior to the start of class. Any requests for refund after the start of class are subject to approval by the Exceptions and Appeals Committee. Should you wish to submit an appeal, you should submit your request within 90 days of the occurrence The Committee makes its decision based on the student’s written petition as supported by appropriate documentation (i.e., verification of extended hospitalization from a doctor or hospital, transfer orders signed by a military commander, etc.).

Privacy, Rights and Responsibilities
Rowan College at Burlington County is bound by the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) which prohibits Rowan College at Burlington County from releasing any information from a student’s education record without written permission from the student.

When to Register
Registration for Fall 2017 non-credit courses begins Monday, August 7, 2017. Mailed registration forms will be processed upon receipt. We recommend that you register for a course at least 10 days before the first day of class.

Discounts for Seniors
Are you 60 years of age or older, and live in Burlington County? Then you are eligible to receive a 25% discount on a number of Personal Enrichment and Aquatics courses. To receive the discount, you must provide a valid state ID or driver's license to show proof of age and residency. (One time, in person). Please note this on your registration form. Certain courses are excluded from the discount policy due to special charges to the college by outside agencies. This discount cannot be applied to LIFE or Professional Development courses.
