Willingboro Center Grand Opening & Open House

Willingboro Center

Since 1974, Burlington County College (BCC) has had a full-time presence in the town of Willingboro. The new Willingboro Center, located across from the former site in the Willingboro Town Center at 200 Campbell Drive, Suite 210, opened its doors to students on Monday, Aug. 20 and will host a Grand Opening & Open House for the public on Wednesday, Sept. 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. The new facility increases BCC’s visibility along the Route 130 corridor as well as the College’s offerings and services.

Originally established to give residents of towns along the Route 130 corridor a more accessible location to take credit and non-credit college classes, the Willingboro Center has grown to a full-service college facility with a wide-range of offerings including Adult Basic Education (ABE) classes for individuals who do not have a high school diploma or GED and need to improve their reading, math, and language skills. The Willingboro Center also serves as the official GED Testing site for all of Burlington County.

“We are proud to make this first-class, state-of-the-art facility accessible to all the surrounding communities of the Route 130 corridor,” said BCC Board Chairman Joseph R. Malone, III. “The new Willingboro Center will be a great asset to the community and students we serve.”

BCC expanded the square footage of the new Willingboro Center by more than 10,000-square-feet. The new Willingboro Center boasts nine state-of-the-art classrooms, four computer labs, a larger student lounge and a student cafe. Thanks to the increased space and capacity, BCC will be offering more courses and will be better able to support students and address issues like student retention and academic needs. The new center has a dedicated E-Services office, which will allow current and prospective students to receive a virtual one-on-one consultation with BCC student services staff. Any BCC student services staff member located on another campus will be able to virtually connect with the E-Services office to provide information on admissions, financial aid, military and veteran and disability services as well as academic advising. Increased educational services include tutoring and testing centers as well as reading and writing labs.

The community will have the opportunity to tour the new center at the free Grand Opening & Open House. Community officials and BCC representatives will make brief remarks at 2 p.m. A courtesy RSVP is requested by visiting www.bcc.edu/willingboro or by calling (609) 894-9311, ext. 3021.
