Rowan College at Burlington County athletes pick up postseason awards for spring sports

Student athletes

Nine student athletes in Rowan College at Burlington County’s spring 2016 sports, softball, baseball, and golf, picked up postseason awards from the NJCAA Region XIX and Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC).

Softball:

  • Gabrielle Pfeiffer, of Mount Holly: First Team, All-GSAC Division II.
  • Melissa Collins, of Egg Harbor Township: First Team, All-GSAC Division II and Second Team, All-Region XIX Division II.
  • Yasmin Vazquez, of Riverside: First Team, All-GSAC Division II and First Team, All-Region XIX Division II.
  • Danielle Carey, of Maple Shade: First Team, All-GSAC Division II and First Team, All-Region XIX Division II.
  • Amber Steen, of New Egypt: Second Team, All-Region XIX Division II.

Baseball:

  • Shane Pastore, of Eastampton: Second Team, All-GSAC Division II and Second Team, All-Region XIX Division II.
  • Frank Bilanico, of Chesterfield: Second Team, All-GSAC Division II and Second Team, All-Region XIX Division II.
  • Aidin Hernandez, of Santa Rita, Venezuela: Second Team, All-GSAC Division II and Second Team, All-Region XIX Division II.

Golf:

  • John Hauck, of New Egypt: Second Team, All-GSAC.

The Lady Barons softball team finished with an overall record of 18-17 and a Region XIX record of 4-6.

The men’s baseball team finished the season with a record of 21-21

RCBC’s golf team finished 7th in the Region and 3rd in the GSAC.
