RCBC Celebrates National Engineers Week with event on Feb. 23

Engineers Week

Join the Science, Math and Technology (SMT) Division at Rowan College at Burlington County for an event celebrating National Engineers Week on Tuesday, Feb. 23 in the rotunda of Laurel Hall.

SMT departments will be hosting exhibits, demonstrating experiments and displaying posters from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. At 1 p.m., Thomas Plummer, a Lockheed Martin Fellow who is responsible for all cybersecurity and tactical programs within Lockheed Martin’s Mission Systems and Training, will speak about how engineering is important to cybersecurity. At 1:30 p.m., RCBC Senior Vice President and Provost Dr. David Spang will address the importance of these disciplines to the future of the college.

Engineers Week is dedicated to ensuring a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by increasing understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers. Through the college’s historic Rowan University partnership, the university’s bachelor’s of Electrical and Computer Engineering, as well as Mechanical Engineering, will soon be a part of the RCBC Mount Laurel campus, giving students even more options to transform their futures with an education and career in engineering.
