High school athletes sign to Lady Barons basketball team
Avian Flunder, of Trenton Catholic, Ayanna Lewis-Grant, of the Burlington County Institute of Technology (BCIT) Westampton Campus, and Dhevyn Webb, of Willingboro High School, will join the Lady Barons basketball team next year.
The three incoming student athletes signed National Letters of Intent on Monday, Feb. 20. The Letters declare that the students will attend Rowan College at Burlington County the following academic year and receive a scholarship from the college.
Webb, of Willingboro, described RCBC as “the best option,” adding that it is close to home. Most of all, she said she was looking forward to “being able to continue playing basketball.”
Flunder, of Mount Holly, said that the location of RCBC as well as her full ride were the reasons she decided to attend the college. Flunder is most looking forward to the athletics and academics of RCBC.
Lewis-Grant, also of Willingboro, said she was “ready to play ball,” adding that women’s basketball Head Coach Carolyn Jones is a good coach.
“I'm happy to sign three talented student-athletes such as Avian, Ayanna and Dhevyn. I consider these girls to be game changers who will add value right away,” said Jones.
