Former Lady Baron Selected to Ocean City Nor'easters Women's Soccer Team

Allison Paonessa

Former Lady Baron Allison Paonessa was selected to the Ocean City Nor’easters, an amateur development league that has sent more than 50 players into women’s professional soccer.

Paonessa, of West Berlin, is using the Rowan Connection to study psychology at Rowan University in the fall. She plans to play soccer for the university and keep improving her game.

At RCBC, Paonessa was named team MVP, and earned First Team honors for Garden State Division I All-Conference teams, and Division I Women's Soccer All-Region first string team.

“Being picked for the Ocean City FC team is such an honor,” Paonessa said. “I'm excited to play for this team and hope one day I can make it to the professional leagues like many others from this team have. There's a lot of good talent on this team and I'm grateful to have this opportunity and to play with everyone.”
