Henry Rowan

Henry M. Rowan, 1923 - 2015: The college mourned the loss of philanthropist, industrialist and humanitarian, Mr. Henry M. Rowan, whose $100 million gift transformed Rowan University and made a pronounced impact on southern New Jersey. RCBC President Paul Drayton expressed the college's sympathy:

Rowan College at Burlington County is deeply saddened by the loss of our friend Henry Rowan, and we offer our sympathy to his family and friends. Mr. Rowan’s legacy grows beyond the fact that three outstanding higher education institutions bear his name, but more importantly by the countless number of students in southern New Jersey who have access to better educational opportunities because of his generosity.

Dreamcatcher: Adjunct faculty member Dr. Steven Mento has composed a piece "Algonquian Dreamcatcher," which is believed to be the first symphonic arrangement of local native American Lenni-Lenape music. The piece will be performed by the Bay Atlantic Symphony and is the subject of a documentary. The Press of Atlantic City.
