Best of 2014 Showcase Opens at BCC Student Art Gallery

Burlington County College (BCC) credit and non-credit students show off their best pieces of art at the new “Best of 2014 Showcase,” opening Friday, Dec. 12.

The exhibit highlights the exemplary talent and creativity of 34 student artists, 29 credit and five non-credit. Eighty-nine pieces of artwork, including photography, drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, mixed-media, jewelry and graphic design, will be available for public viewing at the Student Art Gallery, located in historic downtown Mount Holly at 1 High Street, through Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015.

An awards ceremony for the student artists and an opening reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. The reception and exhibit are free and open to the public.

The exhibit will be on display through Feb. 14 during normal gallery hours: Wednesday and Thursday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Friday, 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.; and the second Saturday of every month from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The “Best of 2014 Showcase” was curated by BCC Campus Curator Jessica Ward and juried by RJ Haas, Colleen McWilliams, Sheri Roseman and James Kent.
