Best of 2013 Exhibit Showcases Student Artists

Pictured Here: “Sankowicz,” ceramic art by BCC student and Pemberton resident Angel Rapp, will be on display during Burlington County College’s “Best of 2013 Showcase” at the Student Art Gallery, located at 1 High Street in Mount Holly. The annual exhibit showcases the best of BCC student art and will open on Friday, Dec. 6. Thirty-five student artists will display 92 pieces of artwork in a variety of mediums including photography, drawing, painting, sculpture, jewelry, graphic design and more. The free opening reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday and includes refreshments. The “Best of 2013 Showcase” runs through Saturday, Feb. 8 and will be on display during normal gallery hours: Wednesday and Thursday, 11 a.m. -2 p.m.; Friday, 3:30-7 p.m.; and the second Saturday of every month from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. This year’s exhibit was curated by Jessica Ward, Gallery Manager, and juried by professional artists Jennifer Baker, Colleen Rudolf and James Kent. The BCC Student Art Gallery, located in the heart of Mount Holly's Historic Downtown District, serves as a showcase to display and sell original works of art.
