BCC Financial Aid Office Hosts FAFSA Workshops

Financial Aid Application

Burlington County College’s (BCC) Financial Aid Office is hosting free weekly workshops to assist students and their families with understanding, completing and submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), beginning Saturday, March 14.

“The rising costs of higher education are a troublesome reality for far too many, and one of my priorities at Burlington County College will be to keep high-quality academic programs affordable in Burlington County,” said incoming Burlington County College President Paul Drayton Jr. “I encourage all students to apply for financial aid because it can open doors to federal and state assistance, and need-based scholarships through the college’s Foundation for students who wisely choose Burlington County College.”

To be eligible for any federal or state aid, as well as a BCC Foundation scholarship, a college student must submit the FAFSA.

“Burlington County College’s financial aid experts are here to walk students and their families through the sometimes complicated, financial aid application process,” said BCC Financial Aid Director Jovina Bermudez. “A college student must have a FAFSA on file in order to receive any federal and state financial aid, including scholarships, grants, work-study and loans.

“Financial aid helps makes a college education more affordable for most students and families and the FAFSA is completely free – all it costs is your time,” she added.

The workshops are open to students, their families and the community. Students do not need to be attending BCC and appointments are not required. Two convenient sessions will be held each day.
