Lean Business Innovation 2017 Workshop
Lean Startup tools are innovative methods you can use to create and verify business ideas quickly.
Who can benefit? Entrepreneurs looking to build a fledgling venture; intrapreneurs trying to provoke change from within; small business owners seeking to grow in new ways.
Originated by bestselling author Eric Ries (The Lean Startup), Lean Startup tools can help you work smarter. In this engaging two-part workshop, connect with other innovators as you work on an idea by learning to: Find a problem worth solving; define a possible solution; test and verify or refute your ideas and solutions with target customers throughout the development cycle; know when to "pivot" by changing your plan’s course; tell your story with a dynamic "elevator pitch". You will also learn the basics of creating and growing a profitable company.
After this day-long Part 1, you will have a chance to try some of the tools in the real world.
Part 2, the following week, will be a chance to discuss what you've learned and draft an "elevator pitch" for the idea you've been working on. You will learn the basics of creating and growing a profitable company.
There will be two course meeting times: a full day workshop on Wednesday, Jan. 25 from 9:30 am - 4:30 pm and a follow up evening session on Thursday, Feb. 2 from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.
