Be the Match: The National Marrow Donor Program

Want to help save a life? Thousands of patients with blood cancers like leukemia or other diseases like sickle cell anemia, need a marrow transplant to survive.

By joining the Be the Match Registry, your tissue type (taken by a cheek swab) will be included in the search process for every patient in need. Joining the registry is the first step of being a bone marrow donor.

Be the Match needs registry members who are committed to helping save a life. That means being willing to donate to any patient in need, and being ready to follow through if called.

If you are interested, RCBC will be hosting Be the Match Registry signups on April 10 from 11 am – 2 pm in the Student Success Center, room 129.
