Career Success Solutions for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Individuals

Our Program

Career Success Solutions for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CSS) is a unique and specialized comprehensive supported employment services center for individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, late deafened, or who have cochlear implants. CSS is one of the three New Jersey Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Service’s Regional Career Development Centers for People with Hearing Loss and serves seven counties in southern New Jersey, including Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem.

“With hearing loss in the workplace, anything is
possible...it just takes small adjustments”

The consequences of hearing loss and its implications on family, community and in the workplace can be frustrating and devastating. Through our services, individuals will have opportunities to learn effective communication strategies and to explore various assistive or adaptive technologies. These services improve overall access to communication, thus enhancing social well-being and job retention.

With the right resources, services and assistive technology, individuals do not have to terminate or change their employment status because of their hearing loss. Individuals can learn alternative ways to compensate using different communication strategies, assistive technology and other services to optimize their communication experience and work performance.
